Director of Product Management –
The Director of Product Management is responsible for leading a team to oversee the creation and development of games in the free-to-play mobile/tablet market. We are looking for someone who has very strong creative skills as well as business and management skills. They are responsible for partnering with the Parent team and cross-functional internal teams to ensure that games are successful in meeting their target KPIs. He/she will manage the entire life cycle of products and are expected to contribute to the design, production, and launch. The Director of Product Management is the most important individual contributor at Company and their ultimate goal is to make a product successful and foster a strong relationship between Parent Team and the development team.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Lead and motivate a talented team of designers, engineers and artists
• Work collaboratively with team leads to clearly define project scope and schedule and effectively communicate to all team members
• Lead the Production Team in owning the creation and execution of design specifications
• Work closely with team to review quality and timeliness of deliverables while assessing risk and providing creative solutions to maintain schedule and quality integrity
• Successfully lead team to deliver milestones on time, on budget and to high quality
• Continually engage users with flawless execution of live operations
• Provide hands-on mentoring to grow team members in areas such as scheduling, communication, organization, leadership, and ownership, etc.
• Identify the need for and recruit top talent
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
• 7+ years of experience in game production, design, and execution
• Experience as a creative leader with several commercially successful shipped games
• Experience developing original IP, new product pitches and business plans
• Deep understanding of all aspects of game production (management, planning, scheduling, budgeting, staffing, technology, design, art, audio, localization, QA)
• Appreciation for data-driven design through analysis and quick iteration
• Solid understanding of usability, flow and UI design for touch screens
• Knowledge of the mobile/tablet free-to-play gaming trends and competition
• Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal and leadership skills
• Able to work in a rapidly changing, fast-paced start-up environment
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
